Washdown Services
Not your average boat wash.
At Newport Marine Detailing we also adhere to strict detailing standards while conducting our Washdown services.
Our Washdown services are not the typical boat wash. Our crews understand yacht owners have high expectations and work tediously to ensure they are met.
Detailing experts will arrive at your vessel at the time of your choice to begin our process.
First, our team will preform a ph neutral detailed soap application with our spotless water system preparing for scrubbing with ultra-soft brushes.
Your vessel is then hand dried and any access water removed from her major surfaces leaving a spotless shine.
Our team then uses our signature window cleaners to polish windows and remove streaks.
Lastly, our detailing experts apply polish to all stainless steel surfaces using a mixture of metal and insulator wax.
Cut Polish Wax
Unlike automobiles which are commonly not exposed to extreme environments, boats are abused by constant UV and the salt of the sea.
We offer a three step process utilizing 3M marine compounds in tandem with rotary polishers to fiercely attack minor scratches and heavy oxidation.
Once the exterior surface is corrected and oxidation removed, utilizing RUPES random orbital polishers our team removes any remaining imperfections.
Your vessel is then sealed with the sealant of your choice.
Sealants we offer: 3M Marine Wax, Collinite Fleet Wax, FEYNLAB Marine Ceramic Coatings, RUPES polish/Sealant.
FEYNLAB MARINE COATINGS
FEYNLAB® HYDRO SYSTEM
The FEYNLAB HYDRO Marine System is designed to combat the harsh conditions of fresh water and seafaring watercraft.
Compatible with both painted and gel-coat finishes, the HYDRO system’s primary function is to stop oxidation dead in its tracks. Additionally, when applied to surfaces, HYDRO’S smart nano particles offer intense UV protection through ultra-efficient UV ray scattering. These key functional aspects work perfectly together.
By stopping and preventing oxidation and UV damage to gel coat and painted surfaces, HYDRO prevents the unsightly and damaging yellowy, chalky, and powdery surface effects caused by sun and sea exposure.
The HYDRO System creates hydrophobic surfaces, causing water and contamination to quickly release. This drastically speeds up rinse-downs after use, making general cleaning super-fast and easy. (Assuming the watercraft is dry docked and not sitting in water for prolonged periods, where anti-fouling agents would be required below the waterline)
The hydrophobic properties of HYDRO help decrease water drag when applied below the water line. Application to propellers may aid in reduced fuel consumption.
HYDRO is not an anti-fouling agent. It should only be used above the waterline for watercraft spending long periods of time in the water.
HYDRO’s effect on surfaces similar to Ceramic: Exceptionally Glossy, Crisp, and Vibrant. However, its functional protection is engineered specifically for the extreme demands of the sea.
FEYNLAB® WATERLINE
FEYNLAB® WATERLINE is an innovative solution that offers extra protection for gel and clear coated surfaces from marine growth and exhaust staining. For best results, FEYNLAB® WATERLINE should be used after applying STEP 1 of HYDRO MARINE COATING SYSTEM or our MARINE COAT SYSTEM.

As any boat owner knows, maintaining the beauty of gel or clear coated surfaces is labor intensive and a near impossible chore without some serious chemical help, which can be toxic to both you and marine life. The constant attack by the sun, water, salt, marine growth, and exhaust quickly degrades the visuals of your boat, quickly making your expensive purchase look old and worn. This drove FEYNLAB to work tirelessly for several years developing FEYNLAB® WATERLINE.
Now, with FEYNLAB® WATERLINE, those hard to maintain areas are protected for up to 1 year. FEYNLAB® WATERLINE was originally created to protect the surfaces above water. However, in testing we found it worked great to protect the hull below the water line of boats that are dry docked and do not require bottom paint.
Utilizing anti-microbial and anti-bacterial polymers in a ceramic matrix, this wipe-on, wipe clear micro-coating keeps stains and contaminants from affecting the beauty of the boat’s hull. It also provides UV protection, makes the hull easier to clean, and easier to keep clean.
The hydrophobic properties of FEYNLAB® WATERLINE may help decrease water drag.

Teak Cleaning: Newport Marine Detailing uses a two step teak cleaning process to remove dirt and grime from the pores of your teak surfaces. This process should be completed at least once yearly to ensure your teak retains its recently sanded look.
